Holders of a BTS in Tourism create and promote tourism products
It also welcomes and accompanies tourists. Finally, they collect, process and distribute information related to the tourism sector.
A BTS in Tourism takes two years to complete after a general baccalaureate. This Bac+2 level diploma can be prepared through initial training or alternatively through work-study programs in public and private establishments. It is a state-recognized level 5 diploma, awarding 120 ECTS credits.
- inform and advise customers on tourism-related services,
- create and promote tourism products,
- finalize the sale of tourist services and ensure commercial follow-up,
- collect, process and disseminate information related to the tourism sector,
- welcome and accompany tourists.
The BTS is open to all holders of a baccalaureate: general baccalaureate, professional baccalaureate.

After graduating, graduates can start their professional careers as travel advisors, forfaitiste, tourism promotion officers, tourist office animators or digital territory animators. With experience, they can progress to team manager, office manager, agency manager, product manager or center or campsite manager.
Training can be financed :
- By the candidate, in whole or in part.
- By the company, in whole or in part.
- By one or more funding schemes, partially or in full (OPCO, Pole Emploi, etc.).
