The BTS banking-customer advisor diploma trains students to become customer advisors or account managers in the retail market.

The holder of this BTS combines solid technical, legal, financial and tax skills with behavioral and commercial abilities.

Their main job is to market their establishment's range of products and services, informing and advising the customers for whom they are responsible. He/she is also responsible for prospecting for new customers in order to develop his/her customer portfolio.

A BTS in Banking takes two years to complete after a general baccalaureate. This Bac+2-level diploma can be obtained through initial training or alternatively through work-study programs in public and private establishments. It is a state-recognized level 5 diploma, awarding 120 ECTS credits.

You will have to build and establish a relationship of trust with customers or prospects by ensuring a high quality of service. This mainly involves activities relating to :

  • reception,
  • customer knowledge,
  • customer information,
  • the board,
  • formalizing the sale,
  • relationship follow-up.

The BTS is open to all holders of a baccalaureate: general baccalaureate, professional baccalaureate.

Initially, he or she may be called upon to work as a receptionist handling day-to-day operations, before being entrusted with a customer portfolio as an advisor. With experience, they can move on to other types of customer, notably the professional market, or to managerial positions.

Training can be financed :

  • By the candidate, in whole or in part.
  • By the company, in whole or in part.
  • By one or more funding schemes, partially or in full (OPCO, Pole Emploi, etc.).
